A successful swag year: Be purposeful

We think it’s interesting how things work out sometimes, here at 1001Stressballs.com. Since December 2019, we’ve been planning to make this month’s post about being purposeful. Who knew that March 2020 would find us in a pandemic and working on ways to support each other through unprecedented times. While we want to focus most on being purposeful with your promotional stress balls, we will also be sharing ways to be purposeful in everything you do for the next few weeks.

What’s your promotional item’s purpose?

Being purposeful means approaching a goal with an intention. We mentioned last month that working with your marketing team or goal setters within your organization is an important way to be specific in your swag choices. It’s also the best way to be intentional. What goals does your company want to meet this year? Yes, everyone wants their business to grow, but what specific goals did your company set to attain that growth? Now, how can your custom stress balls support those goals?

Here are some questions to consider. Are you trying to:

  • Increase website sales? Include your website address on every stress ball design.
  • Increase local foot traffic? Include your local street address for each location (which may mean ordering separate batches of stress balls in bulk).
  • Increase brand awareness? Choose custom colors and include your logo on your design.
  • Get found on Google faster? Add a custom message encouraging online reviews.

Check out last month’s ideas about being specific for even more ideas!

Some things to keep in mind when ordering promo items now

So much has changed in the last couple of weeks, nationally as well as globally in light of the COVID-19 outbreak. We want to be sure you know that it may affect our processing and shipping times and that rush orders may not be available right now. Some other important things to consider:

  • The virus is going to cause supply chain delays for quite some time, so stock may become an issue as we go further into 2020.  Therefore, you should consider purchasing promo products now to secure stock for later.
  • The virus has also backed up production at many promotional products factories that also sell things in high demand, like hand sanitizers and health products. This means that if you need promo products in April or May, it is a good idea to order now.

Other ways to be purposeful

While being prepared like we discussed in January is more important than ever, we also want you think about how orders for promotional stress balls now can help your current and potential customers in the coming months. If you offer a service or are developing a new special that could aid them in recovering from financial hardship, advertise it with a stress ball. If your products or services are going digital for the remainder of social distancing and lockdown policies, tell customers with a computer-shaped squeeze.

We hear you. You’re asking how you’re supposed to hand these products out if all of the events and conferences have been cancelled or postponed for the foreseeable future. We suggest sending them in the mail! Go full on grassroots! In a time when the only news and mail we’re receiving involves bills, illness, and questionable times to come, an emoji or wizard-shaped goodie in the mailbox can brighten the darkest of days. You could even include a single use alcohol wipe for extra precaution.

And let’s be real; people are going to be stressed for a long time, and if they’re confined to their houses, they will be looking for ANY way to find some relief. Make them laugh with a message or talking stress ball. Lift them up with an inspiring sentiment on a custom shape. Just give them something to squeeze!
